The ‘Shop floor CMM inspection with Laser Radar on robot’ webinar will take place on Tuesday, 20th June 2017 at 15:30 CEST – REGISTER FOR FREE NOW!
The Nikon Laser Radar mounted on an industrial robot is an innovative approach to both body-in white (BIW) metrology and Flush-and-Gap inspections on finished cars. The non-contact, automated Laser Radar provides a unique alternative to the shortcomings of other optical car body inspection methods such as providing absolute measurement data in part coordinates to horizontal arm CMM accuracy. The Laser Radar operates both inline and next-to the-line to measure complex features on almost any surface, including highly reflective bare body panels as well as shiny painted surfaces without the need for surface preparation .
This webinar is illustrated with real life application examples that show the benefit of this next-generation car body inspection solution.
The webinar will be presented by Paul Lightowler, Nikon Metrology’s product manager for the Laser Radar. With more than 10 years of experience in automotive and large scale metrology, Paul leads a team working with OEMs and integration partners to develop the car body inspection capabilities of the Laser Radar.
Date: Tuesday, June 20th.
