From the 26th to the 29th of April 2016, Nikon Metrology will be unveiling and demonstrating various new  products at the annual Control show in Stuttgart, Germany.

At Control 2016, Nikon Metrology will introduce the new Nikon HN-C3030 non-contact 3D metrology system for fast and accurate gear inspection. The extended range of ceramic multi-sensor ALTERA CMMs are demonstrated with the InSight L100 productivity scanner and with a robotized sample loading system. The new MV331/351 Laser Radar, an innovative shop floor CMM for automated inspection in automotive applications is presented.  Another robotized application combining productivity and insight is the fully automated CT inspection station. Finally the complete range of microscopes and video measuring systems are also displayed.



Nikon HN-C3030

HN-C3030 – High speed, non-contact inspection of gears

With the non-contact HN-C3030 metrology system, Nikon is making a leap forward in ultra-fast, highly accurate gear inspection compared to traditional tactile measurement methods. The new compact solution offers highly accurate non-contact scanning of a wide range of parts including gears (hypoid, bevel, helical, spur & worm gears), impellers, turbine blades and more. By scanning the complete part, customers obtain better insights into product conformity, resulting in faster problem-solving and eradication of undesired noise or vibrations.

Nikon ALTERA 7.5.5 & 10.10.8

The extended ALTERA CMM range offers improved performance and larger sizes.

The high performance ALTERA range has been extended, now offering almost 30 different models and 7 bridge sizes. Thanks to the use of advanced ceramic components and optimized designs, the ALTERA series offers high performance and vast reliability. The solution can be applied on the shop floor as well as in the metrology room. Combined with CAMIO and a wide range of tactile and optical sensors, this range of highly accurate CMMs truly supports multi-sensor measuring applications. Probing support is extended with REVO 5-axis scanning technology to dramatically improve CMM productivity for complex tactile inspection applications.

Laser Radar

Nikon Laser Radar on robot

MV331/351 – Next generation shop floor CMM

The new Laser Radar mounted on a robot provides a unique alternative to the shortcomings of the traditional car body inspection methods. The new Laser Radar doubles the measurement speed, measures almost any surface, including highly reflective bare body panels as well as shiny painted surfaces and has an integrated robot mount. This robust measurement ability means the LR can be used for both body-in white (BIW) and Flush-and-Gap inspections on finished cars.

CT automation across industrial applications

Recent advances in high-flux, microfocus X-ray sources, coupled with easy automation of CT scanning parameters and analysis techniques, robot-based loading systems allow samples to be scanned, reconstructed and evaluated automatically in under two minutes.

For video measurement, both NEXIV and iNEVIX are demonstrated. CMM-Manager on iNEXIV integrates vision measuring, autofocus laser scanning, rotary indexing, and touch probing to provide a true 3D multi-sensor system for inspecting physical products based on 3D CAD models.
